Dave Davies is recovering from a stroke he suffered in 2004 patch Quaife suffers from kidney problems. However Ray Davies is still keen to see what would encounter if they worked as a band once more.
He told the Daily Mail: "I radius to Quaife roughly a month ago and he dearly wants to make another phonograph record with me.
"I think Dave's acquiring better and [drummer] Paddy [Avory] is still playing. It would be great to start out back together just to see what musical theater ideas we had and what would occur."
The Kinks last performed together in 1996. The band formed in 1963 and released hits such as 'Waterloo Sunset', 'Lola' and 'You Rattling Got Me'.
